COVID-19 Information

The current pandemic is a challenging time for all and the impact is felt differently for each individual. Many people are finding their mental and physical health adversely affected which can include health anxiety related specifically to COVID-19, loss of confidence after a period of isolation, lockdown weight gain, sleeping problems, an increase in underlying anxiety or depression, anger problems, stress associated with work, or returning to work, relationship or money issues, or flare-ups of stress-responsive medical conditions such as IBS, acne or eczema. During difficult times we also see an increase in unwanted behavioural patterns, OCD, smoking and drinking too much.

The good news is that Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help. During lockdown, I've been seeing clients online using Zoom which is a free, easy and safe to use platform. While the current pandemic continues, online therapy will continue to be the preferred method. However, online working doesn’t suit everyone. and I'm now also able to provide face-to-face therapy sessions in a COVID-secure environment with social distancing. COVID-19 Mitigation

During the current pandemic I will help to stop the spread of COVID-19 by doing the following:

  • Wash my hands before leaving home

  • Provide hand sanitiser for both client and therapist

  • Use the hand sanitiser provided at the start and end of each session

  • Maintain social distancing of 2m whenever possible

  • Wear a face covering during face-to-face appointments

  • Allow breaks between clients to allow social distancing, cleaning and ventilation

  • Open doors for ventilation during client breaks

  • Clean surfaces which may be touched between each client (including chair arms,

    couch, hand sanitiser bottle, door handles)

  • Provide fresh couch coverings for each client

  • Take payment by contactless methods wherever possible

  • Provide any information or handouts to the client in electronic form by email

  • Cancel face-to-face appointments, offering online alternatives where possible, if I have any COVID-19 symptoms, or need to self-isolate in accordance with current government guidelines.

Client

During the current pandemic please help me to stop the spread of COVID-19 by doing the following:

  • Wash your hands before leaving home

  • Do not use public transport to travel to your appointment

  • Arrive on time – there is no waiting area available

  • Bring your own drink

  • Use the hand sanitiser provided at the start and end of each session

  • Maintain social distancing

  • Wear a face covering, unless you are exempt from doing so

  • Pay in advance using the payment link emailed to you unless other arrangements are made in advance

  • Bring a cushion and blanket with you for your comfort during relaxation if preferred
